Escrow has closed and keys are in my hands!! It was a long and grueling process house hunting in this crazy market, but I truly think that this was the one for me. Yes, the house needs a lot of work, both updating and in repairs, but it has so much potential so bear with me while I make my vision a reality!
Built in the late 50's, it's a great starting point for my love of mid-century modern design. It's obvious that the house saw very little love or cleaning products in quite some time, the smell...well be glad that photos cannot capture that! Dogs were obviously not let out regularly and opted to utilize the carpets over holding it, so the carpets will be first to go. The bathroom actually photographs better than in person I will say, the "white" tile is in reality the original pale yellow that someone painted, at the same time they covered the floor with linoleum "tiles" and failed to repair any of the water leaks etc. properly, so in addition to the carpets the entire bathroom will be going to the dump as well! The exterior needs the wheelchair ramp and shutters removed, some repair, paint and landscaping, and though my dad thinks I am crazy, I LOVE the rocks on the exterior and cannot wait to modernize it with carefully selected lights and new door. There is SO much more that needs to be done, but I won't bore you with the details...soooo let's get started!
